Repeated out of Sample Fusion in the Estimation of Small Tail Probabilities

In pursuit of a small tail probability p, it is shown how to construct by repeated fusion of a given reference sample with computer generated samples interval estimates for p. A comparison is made with an extreme value theory method for tail estimation using data from distributions with different types of tail behavior.
