Debajyoti Mukhopadhyay
Dr Debajyoti Mukhopadhyay is currently working as the Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the Bennett University, India. Earlier, he had held the positions in various universities, such as: Dean (R&D) and Director at Mumbai University affiliated NHITM; Dean (R&D) at the Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune; Director of Balaji Institute of Telecom and Management, Pune. He has been the Founding Director of the Web Intelligence and Distributed Computing Research Lab since 2002. From 2008 to 2010 (for almost three years), he was the Founding Head and a Professor of Information Technology and MIS at Calcutta Business School. He has held visiting positions at George Mason University, USA, Curtin University, Australia, Chonbuk National University, Korea. He worked as a Full Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the West Bengal University of Technology’s affiliated Engineering Colleges from 2001 to 2008. He worked at Bell Communications Research, USA, in its Computing Systems and Architecture Lab (1987–1994). He holds a BE (Electronics) from the IIEST Shibpur (India), DCS from Queen’s University (UK), an MS (Computer Science) from the Stevens Institute of Technology (USA) and PhD in Computer Science from Jadavpur University (India).
